Who am I? Why is this site here? My name is Christy, plain and simple. For years I went under the rock and roll internet alias of Chrystine Stylle, but an invigorated pride in the name my mother gave me (as a result of even greater pride in her) and a complete lack of need for an alias has caused me to sort of drop Stylle. Most people, my stepmother included, just call me Chrys anyway. The alias was fun when I was 19 and a way to shout out to one of my favorite guitarists, Gina Stile, but now I kind of like just being me.
If you know me from the internet it may be through TheRunaways.com, which I've run for several years, or Lita Ford's former site, which I ran prior to TheRunaways.com. For a while I maintained a site for Inger Lorre, I'm the chick behind the North American Bullriding Association site, and back before I ever got anything official I started Vixen Online, a fan site to whittle away the time I should have been in class.
I put this site together primarily as a place for my family to keep up with me. We're a little spread out through the South, so I let them find me here. And when I can I'll use it to point out various causes or people I'd like to help.
My number one causes are anything that works to try and cure ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and Cystic Fibrosis. I also care deeply about anyone with developmental disabilities. My older brother is five years older than me but mentally will always be around 8 years old or so. I adore him. My cousin Donnie lived with Cystic Fibrosis much longer than his doctors initially thought, and my mother is currently battling ALS (and rhuematoid arthritis...a double whammy no one deserves). So if you wondered why I care so much, now you know.
I'm a drummer who attempts to play other instruments, and enjoy writing when not being assaulted by writers' block. I have a Journalism degree I don't really use, two dogs and two cats, and a varied and pretty cool family. That's essentially me in general.
